The Royal Novelist is a Royal-themed writing blog.

My experience writing & editing has mainly been non-fiction so far: I've published 2 books on plain English medical writing, a few articles, etc. But most of you will know me from my Blog/Twitter/ Instagram/etc., Gert's Royals.

I've decided to do it, take the plunge and write a novel. The idea of writing my first novel has always been very daunting. I've been trying forever. But am now taking it seriously.

I'm starting this blog so I would have somewhere I could compile all my research for the novel as I take a closer look at royal life. I also thought this blog could be helpful for other writers, writing about Royalty.

I'm mainly interested in the European Royals, with a heavy focus on the British Royals. And I'm very much focused on modern-day. But, as Royals are big on tradition and history, some of this info will be very helpful for those of you writing historical fiction.
